Man abandons 2-year-old daughter in local cafe in Kogi State
 
         
This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Bilikisu Momoh at a press briefing in Lokoja.
According to Mommoh, the little girl had walked in with her father into the local tea joint popularly known as`Maishayi’ where she was bought a cup of tea by her supposed father, who did not return after he excused himself to buy other things outside.


She further stated that the tea seller after waiting for hours for the man to return but to no avail, contacted officials of Lokoja Local Government who later reported the case to the police.

According to the commissioner, the little girl has gone through series of check ups and is said to be in good shape except for a slight trace of malaria parasite.
She appealed to the general public to help in locating the parent or relations of the girl.
