Cucumbers belong to the plant group as pumpkin, and watermelon (the Cucurbitaceae family). Cucumbers are made up of mostly (95 percent) water, which means eating them on a hot sunny day can help you stay hydrated.
In Nigeria, we enjoy eating it with peanuts or using it as a salad with rice.
