Reflections:Letter From God

A letter from God
You're on a hotline with someone special on the other end, someone who can really help you. Someone who has answers, complete with landing gear--specific answers tailor made for you in your situation.
Is that hard to believe? You may feel like you've heard or read many such promises before. Each time, they failed to deliver, even those that were advertised as "guaranteed for life." You may have believed those promises and bought into them, devoting your time and effort to attaining the rewards they painted in glowing colors before you. Now, maybe you're not so sure anymore. You may have lost your job, your financial stability, perhaps even your dream home--and worst of all, there doesn't appear to be any hope of a quick recovery. Everything you loved and valued feels like it could slip away any minute.
But will it?

He says it is still an “alarming trend” among players, including teenagers.

“It has become a cultural issue, part of the game, it is absolutely wrong, for me it’s clearly abuse of the drugs – that’s why we use the word alarming.” said Dvorak, who left FIFA in November after 22 years.

Today Is World Water Day

water

Contaminated water and poor sanitation are linked to transmission of diseases such as cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid and polio. Absent, inadequate, or inappropriately managed water and sanitation services expose individuals to preventable health risks. This is particularly the case in health care facilities where both patients and staff are placed at additional risk of infection and disease when water, sanitation and hygiene services are lacking. Globally, 15% of patients develop an infection during a hospital stay, with the proportion much greater in low-income countries.

Former England footballer and ex-Manchester United defender revealed that he turned to alcohol following the death of his wife Rebecca in March 2015, after experiencing guilt that she died and not him.
The 38-year-old single father of three told BBC that he started drinking in the middle of the night to get through the grief of losing her to breast cancer.

'At the beginning I was drinking a lot at night time. We have a lady lucky enough who lives with us, she would go to bed and I'd come back down in the middle of the night and probably drink a lot for the first three or four months. But I would get up and do the school run and stuff.'

Nigerians Should Expect Above Danger Heat Stress- NIMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted that many  Nigerians would likely experience “above danger heat stress’’ this year due to combination of heat and humidity.

NiMet, in its 2017 Seasonal Rainfall Prediction, said that heat for too long could cause heat stress which may in turn lead to several illness collectively called ‘’hyperthermia’’.

The agency warned that older people could have a tough time dealing with heat and humidity, as most people who dies from hyperthermia globally each year were over 50.

NiMet highlighted some of the heat related complications to include heat syncope, heat cramps, heat edema, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, adding that Nigerians were no exception.

Eat Ginger! It Helps

ginger

Ginger is the rare traditional remedy that gets genuine respect from medical doctors and natural healers alike. It's been known for thousands of years as a kind of jack-of-all-trades super herb, and its reputation has endured. But it's probably best known for its antiemetic effect — that is, its impact on nausea and vomiting.
Also for its anti inflammatory effect.

Ginger has been the subject of much medical research in recent years, most of which confirms its benefits for a wide range of ailments, and they're not all digestive. It's been shown to have positive effects on arthritis, immunity, colic, heart problems and the common cold, to name a few.  The lion's share of the research has been about ginger and the digestive system. It's been shown to work as a carminative (flatulence inhibitor) and intestinal spasmolytic (digestive-tract soother). It also can help with nausea brought on by motion.

See The Press Release From NBC Concerning The Issue Of Benzoic Acid In Fanta And Sprite

Our attention has been drawn to media reports, which contain misleading information on the safety of benzoic and ascorbic acids as ingredients in soft drinks, citing a Lagos High Court order.

In the judgement delivered on February 15, 2017 in a suit involving FijabiAdebo Holdings Limited & Dr. Emmanuel FijabiAdebo v. Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) & National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), the Lagos High Court dismissed all claims against NBC and held that the company had not breached its duty of care to consumers and that there was no proven case of negligence against it.

In the same judgement, the court directed NAFDAC to mandate NBC to include a warning on its bottles of Fanta and Sprite that its contents cannot be taken with Vitamin C as same become poisonous if taken with Vitamin C. This order was premised on the fact that the products contain the preservative, benzoic acid. NBC has since appealed this order.

Whilst we do not wish to delve into the details of the case or the merits of the court order by this medium, we find it imperative in the interest of consumers and members of the public to make the following clarifications:

When And How You Should Eat Fruits

What is the correct way of eating fruits?
It means not eating fruits after your meals!
FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It’s not as easy as you think. It’s important to know how and when to eat.

If you eat fruit on empty stomach, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.
Let’s say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

Reflections:What can I do to stop worrying so much?

Who doesn’t worry sometimes? We worry about failing in school
or in our work. We worry that we won’t be able to make ends meet financially.
We worry about the ones we love. We worry about our future. We worry about what’s going to happen in the world. We worry about
so many things.
Most worries come down to one of two things: remorse over past failures and situations gone wrong, and fear over the future.

Plus, vitamin E that stimulates sex hormones, including estrogen in women and testosterone in men...(oya lets go! Lol)

It contains high levels of the amino acid asparagine, which serves as a natural diuretic, and increased urination not only releases fluid but helps rid the body of excess salts. Reflections:Can You Recognize The Suprises in Your Life?

I’m thinking about those moments when life is moving along smoothly, it looks like you have a good view of where things are headed, you’re making progress … and then all of a sudden, surprise! A total about-face happens. Something that forces you to change and pushes you in a different direction. A complete game changer.
I find those “surprise” moments kind of scary. Having no control over a situation feels like a free fall. Not my thing. It’s at those times when my best-laid plans are strewn around me like worthless debris, and I hear in my head the words, “Man proposes but God disposes.”
I have the choice to just “go with it” or try to force and steer things back to my cherished plans. Really, it’s not so much of a choice as it is a mental attitude. Half the time, the outcome is obvious, and holding on to my plans is clearly only going to prolong the inevitable. Still, it’s hard to let go.

This Weird Looking Stone Was Removed From a Man's Bladder

This weird looking bladder stone was removed from a man.
Bladder stones form when the bladder isn't fully emptied and according to a paper in the journal Obstetrics and Gynaecology, men account for 95% of all cases. While some men won't have any symptoms, their stones are discovered during an X-ray or scan for another medical condition, others will suffer pain in the bladder area, blood in the urine, cloudy urine or difficulty passing it.

You may pass out bladder stones that are smaller than 1cm via urine. But bigger stones such as this one, which is 4cm by 4cm, need surgery.
