Reflections: I am Unique- Are you?

Do you know who the happiest people are?—Those who just
accept themselves the way they are, who learn to be happy with
what they have and not care what others think. Struggling to live up
to ideals that you think are expected of you by your peers puts a real
weight on you, but there’s freedom in just being what you are and
who you are.

Why You Need Iodine

I have a box of salt in the kitchen, and it says, "Iodized Salt*", and then at the bottom it says, "*This salt supplies iodine, a necessary nutrient". On the ingredient label it lists Potassium Iodine at a concentration of 0.006%.
A quarter teaspoon of salt (1.5 grams) provides 67 micrograms of iodine, which is about half of the recommended Daily Allowance for iodine.
The main reason that you need iodine is because of a gland in your neck called the thyroid gland.

Iodine is a fascinating mineral, and it's somewhat surprising how relatively little research has been done on the role of iodine in human health.

CNB Fruity Talk: BEETROOT JUICE

This vibrant and colorful veggie if consumed daily, would definitely add color to our life.
If you rub a slice of this on to the lips, the purple color would stay for so long that we don’t have to worry about re-applying..Lol

It might come as a surprise to many, but beets come from the same botanic family as spinach. Although most of us are familiar with the red beetroot, it can be found in different colors. Besides the familiar red ones, there are also white, orange and golden beetroots.
One of the non-harmful side effects of drinking beetroot juice is the effect it may have on your stool and urine. Be prepared as it may turn red.

CNB Fruity Talk: The Amazing SourSop

Soursop is a flowering, evergreen tree native to tropical regions of the world. It also contains a long, prickly green fruit which may be effective against some forms of cancer.

Annonaceous acetogenins are phytochemicals contained in the leaves, seeds and stems of soursop. These substances play a role in warding off cancer and viral attacks. The study revealed that the content of Annonaceous acetogenins in graviola can kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer, including breast, colon, prostate, lung, and much more.

Cancer Research UK said, "in laboratory studies, graviola extracts can kill some types of liver and breast cancer cells that are resistant to particular chemotherapy drugs. But there haven't been any large scale studies in humans.

Reflections: Are You a Perfectionist?

I like to do things well and thoroughly, You can call me a perfectionist, no matter how much time it takes.

In my decision-making, I’ve come to recognize that my main motivation is avoiding making mistakes. I try to make sure that my work and personal decisions are as right as they can possibly be. Meticulously.

Do You Fly With Kour Kids? Then Read This

Do you know that, it’s not everyone that likes the company of kids, the mere presence of a kid will draw glares from some people. Not much can be done aside from ignoring these people. Your kids have the right to travel with you.

But a parent must also remember:
No one else on the plane loves your children like you do.
And what may come across to you as acceptable behavior (because “they’re kids”) may not be taken lightly. Families traveling together have garnered a bad reputation – and some of the following reasons may be familiar to you:

Dear PH City Residents,This Hazard Called BLACK SOOTH is Getting Out Of Hand

Dear PH city residents, the time has come for us compel to the government to fish out the perpetrators and put a stop to this hazard called BLACK SOOTH. We can no longer sit back and ignore this menace.

Last year we started a media movement and the black soothe stopped for a while; now it is back and in greater intensity. Lets ask ourselves how long it will take for PH residents to start lining up at hospitals with respiratory infections or perhaps cancer? Enough is enough! The air we breathe is highly polluted, you wake up in the morning and you wipe your nostrils with a white handkerchief and it turns black, what then does your lungs look like or that of the children mostly the toddler?

Why say ''BLESS YOU'' when someone sneezes?

We have all become accustomed to saying "bless you" when someone sneezes. No one says anything when someone coughs, blows their nose or burps, so why do sneezes get special treatment? What do those phrases actually mean, anyway?

Reflections:Peace in our hearts

Missed you guys...Wow!!!! been so hooked up with my APQ that i almost forgot my blog friends, well, I'm back now and least I forget...I appreciate all your mails and calls. Thank you.

Now to the matter on ground............
Have you ever tried sleeping with a fly or mosquito in the room? You’re lying there, nearly asleep, when bzzzzzzz—the fly dive-bombs your face. I don’t know why they do this. I just know it’s really annoying. They don’t just do it one time either! They’ll do it over and over and over. Some flies are even bold enough (or obnoxious enough) to land on your face or ear.
You’re drifting off again, when bzzz … SLAP! “Neener, neener!” says the bug. Howl of frustration! You’re too tired to get up and kill the thing, but you can’t sleep because of it.
