The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation
(HoSF), Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, on Friday, told federal public servants in the
country to ensure regular and complete check-up of their health in order to
ensure punctuality and effective service delivery.
She said this in Abuja when
she declared open a five-day free medical check-up for federal civil servants
in the country.
Oyo-Ita advised workers to
always create time out of their busy schedules to ensure that they have a
thorough medical check-up of their health. That most of the reported cases of
collapse of some workers either on their way to their respective offices or
during office hours could be attributed to lack of proper medical check-up to
determine their health status.
The HoS used the opportunity to check up her health
status and also assured of Federal Government's determination at ensuring a
healthy workforce which would be committed to providing effective, efficient
and prompt services to Nigerians.
She stated that the free medical check-up would be a
regular exercise.
