Lead Poisoning Had killed more than 400 children in Zamfara- Human Right Watch
Image result for picture of lead poison
Human Rights Watch (HRW), the international rights body, mentioned the exposé on lead poisoning of local children among its breakthroughs in exposing violations in recent times.

Kenneth Roth, HRW Executive Director, said human rights abusers counted on ignorance and the world turning a blind eye but his organisation would not ignore such violations.

“Our researchers produce cutting edge reports that are trusted around the world. We have investigated and exposed abuses across the globe, from a secret network of torture centers in Syria to the fatal lead poisoning of hundreds of children in Nigeria,” said Roth.

He said backed by its compelling research, the organisation had led groundbreaking global campaigns.

“We have influenced governments, and helped build the case against war criminals in the International Criminal Court. We shared the Nobel Peace Prize for our work on the Mine Ban Treaty.”

HRW reported that since 2010, acute lead poisoning in the Zamfara State had killed more than 400 children with 3 500 left requiring urgent medical treatment.

AirAsia Plane from Indonesia to Singapore Missing

An AirAsia plane with 161 people aboard lost contact with ground control on Sunday after takeoff from Indonesia on the way to Singapore, and search and rescue operations were under way.
The plane lost communication with Jakarta's air traffic control at 07:24, about an hour before it was scheduled to land in Singapore, the Singapore Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement. The contact was lost about 42 minutes after takeoff from Indonesia's Surabaya airport, Hadi Mustofa, an official of the transportation ministry told Indonesia's MetroTV.
AirAsia said in a statement that the plane was an Airbus A320-200 and that search and rescue operations were in progress.
The plane had six crew and 155 passengers, including 16 children and one infant, the general manager of Surabaya's Juanda airport, Trikora Raharjo, told The Associated Press.
There were six foreigners — three South Koreans including an infant and one each from Singapore, British and Malaysia, said Raharjo. The rest were Indonesians, he said.
The plane lost contact when it was believed to be over the Java Sea between Kalimantan and Java islands, Mustofa said.
He said the weather in the area was cloudy.
The Singapore aviation authority said it was informed about the missing plane by Jakarta ground control about half an hour after the contact was lost.
"Search and rescue operations have been activated by the Indonesian authorities," it said, adding that the Singapore air force and the navy also were activated with two C-130 planes.

Chris Okotie proves GEJ is an occultic man, that 11 is a devilish number...hmmmm

Image result for picture of chris okotie
Pastor Chris Okotie says he is certain that the incumbent president of Nigeria is an occultic man and he can prove it.

Citing GEJ’s presidential declaration on the eleventh of November, 2014 in his piece titled “2015 and our crony democracy” which was posted on his facebook page hours ago, Okotie stated that the Presidential declaration on November 11 2014 at the Eagle squares has an occultic significance.

He says the number, 11,  is a sacred number in the occultic world and that it demonstrates an appeasement of the powers of darkness to favour the supplicant.

“The implication of Dr. Jonathan’s declaration on that day (11-11-2014)has occultic significance. When the number is repeated, it takes a greater ritualistic intensity. In this case, we have 11-11-11, because when you add the date 11-11-2014 as a year together, you arrive at 11 also. This is in consonance with occultic numerology. In the pre-natural world, the number 11 is a powerful occultic number: it represents judgment, destruction and death of man. Each digit in the 11-11-2014 date, when added together, viz: 1+1+1+1+2+0+1+4, you get 11. That’s why the declaration was done on 11/11/2014, which is the highest level of occultic numerology. This sacred number in the occultic world demonstrates an appeasement of the powers of darkness to favour the supplicant. The name of satan in Latin is LVX. L is 50, V is 5 and X is 10. When you add that together, you get 65. When you add 6 + 5, you get 11. Satan’s number is 11.
The question is; was this declaration orchestrated by occultic considerations, or is it a mere coincidence? Since 11 represents; judgment, destruction and death of man, can we extrapolate from the experiences of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration so far that number 11 has been prevalent in our nation? Has there been spiritual judgment, has there been destruction and death on a large scale? You, be the judge.”

President Jonathan does not belong to the Davidic genealogy; he belongs to the house of Saul and invokes the spirit of Jeroboam. He swears by the Lord and Malcham. He that hath an ear let him hear." he wrote.

Cable News Network CNN listed the late Dr. Stella Adedevoh, the doctor who gave her life in stopping patient zero, Patrick Sawyer from spreading the deadly Ebola virus which he brought in from Liberia to Lagos. Her sacrifice ensured that the disease was identified early with very reduced casualty than it would have originally been.
Alongside Sr. Adedevoh is another great Nigerian, the writer Chimamanda Adichie for her contributions to African Literature.

Also, co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, Hadiza Bala-Usman, appeared in the Humanitarian category of the listing.
She was described as an “activist and initiator of the protest movement” that requested the release of the over 200 pupils of Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok abducted by Boko Haram insurgents.
The news network credited Bala-Usman for initiating the campaign, which drew global attention to the plight of the kidnapped girls and led to the spread of the movement “worldwide.”

Other women who made the World's Leading women of 2014 list included Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Oscar award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, and IMF Chairman Christine Lagarde.

Lagos police arrest Pastor for church members death, after 'spiritual bath'
Image result for picture of sad smiley
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a pastor, Samuel Olusoji, in connection with the death of two of his church members, who reportedly got drowned during a ‘spiritual bath’.
PUNCH Metro had reported on Monday, December 22, that two brothers, 23-year-old Abiodun and Ayinde Oniru, 20, died while they went for a ‘spiritual bath’ at a river in Ogombo, Ajah, Lagos.
The bath, it was gathered, was an annual spiritual cleansing, organised by Olusoji who pastors the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ori-Oke Ibukun, Ilasan, Ajah, Lagos.
It was reported that after the deaths, Olusoji allegedly fled the church to evade arrest, while most church members also withdrew. However, the police had arrested the assistant pastor, who was also the church secretary.
On Tuesday, when PUNCH Metro visited the Ogombo Police Division, Ajah, it was gathered that Olusoji had been arrested by the police. The pastor, it was learnt, was arrested at about 9am on Tuesday after four days on the run.
At the police station, Punch correspondent observed about 20 members of the church sitting under a shed, who came for a ‘solidarity visit’ to Olusoji who had been detained by the police.
One of the members, who identified himself simply as Olamide, told PUNCH Metro that the deaths were a shock to all of them, adding that the pastor had not even got to the river on Saturday when the two members drowned.
He said, “Our church has existed in the Ilasan area for 23 years now without any record of this kind of mysterious death. The spiritual bath we went for is an annual exercise which is carried out as a part of our end-of-the-year activities. So, they came on Saturday to observe it. I did not come with them but, it was almost all the church members that came.
“I know the two deceased very well. We used to eat and play together. The pastor had not even arrived on that morning.
“The church members were brought by one of our elders. The two were warned not to swim in the river, but they insisted that they were used to swimming as they grew up in Eti Osa. That was how they plunged and unfortunately drowned. There is nothing spiritual about it.”
Punch correspondent overheard some other church members saying Olusoji was innocent in the matter.
Some policemen, however, came out to drive away the church members ─ some of who were at the point of tears ─ from the premises.
Speaking with punch, the father of the deceased, Mr. Okokuku Oniru, said his children’s deaths were a rude shock to the family, adding that the two had spent about five days in the church before the incident.
He said, “I am aware that the police have arrested the pastor, but God knows everything.
“My children were regular members of the church, and their deaths are a rude shock to all of us. I am also a member of the church and usually donate during any thanksgiving. I know the police will do their work.”
When Punch visited the church around 2pm, it was observed that the premises, which had coconut and palm trees, were deserted. Only a handful of people were seen chatting under a tree.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the arrest, adding that investigations were still ongoing.
He said, “The pastor actually turned himself over to the police at Ogombo on Tuesday morning. Investigations still continue on the matter.”
