So, Nigeria Has Only Two ISO Accredited Laboratories

         

Nigeria has only two ISO 17025 accredited laboratories, So says The President, Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria, Dr. Dahiru Adamu, has said that shortage of ISO 17025 accredited laboratories is frustrating the growth of the country’s health and manufacturing sectors.

Adamu, also noted that Urging the Federal Government to address this shortage urgently, he noted that China has 337,033; United States, 13,000; South Korea, 7,000 and South Africa 340 ISO 17025 accredited laboratories.

He spoke on Tuesday in Ilorin, Kwara State during the IPAN 21st workshop entitled, “Your laboratory, your business.”
Adamu said, “Until we achieve that critical mass, we can’t guarantee safety and quality of products,
and water.
