Rivers State Doctors Protest Over Kidnapp Of Colleagues

           
Doctors at the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMH), staged a peaceful protest today to the Rivers state Government House, Port Harcourt, following the abduction of yet another doctor. Dr Samuel Okpara was kidnapped on Wednesday night in Port Harcourt by unknown gunmen.

This brings to four, the number of doctors taken in Rivers State in the last one week. The protesting doctors called for the release of their colleague, and better security for the lives of medical practitioners in Rivers State.

CNB exclusively gathered that the kidnappers of one of the doctors, Dr Jack, are requesting for a ransom of N30m. He was kidnapped from his clinic at Abuloma area in port harcourt.
